This project consists of two stages. First stage will focus on the inter-comparisons between
theoretical models. The second stage will include the validation from real-world observational data.
Here we choose the well-studied hot Jupiter HD 189733b as our fiducial planet. HD 189733b
resides within the sweet spot of transport-induced disequilibrium chemistry. It has one of the highest signal-to-noise ratios among exoplanets and
has been extensively observed and modeled. This planet has also just been observed by JWST in both emission and transmission [GO program 1633
and GO program 2021].
