1st meeting at ISSI (Bern): 30 May – 4 June 2027
The plan for each meeting is outlined below:
Meeting 1: Methodology Development and Initial Analysis
- Assessment of TEC dynamics during the first set of solar flares (e.g., May 2024) using GNSS
- Theoretical modelling of the vertical Ne dynamics during the selected flare events
- Development of a methodology for the combined analysis of theoretical and experimental results to identify the spectral bands responsible for ionisation in specific ionospheric altitude layers
Meeting 2: Combined Analysis and Derivation of Relationships
- Combined analysis and verification of the obtained Ne profiles in different heliogeophysical conditions
- Derivation of relationships between the increased ionisation at different layers and flare spectrum
- Integration of the identified patterns into a semi-empirical model
- Identification of flare properties that play an important role in shaping their geoeffective spectra
