PASSAGE ISSI Team meeting

The PASSAGE (Parallel Application of Slitless Spectroscopy to Analyze Galaxy Evolution) survey  is a Cycle 1-JWST wide field pure-parallel survey of emission-line galaxies spanning most of the age of the Universe from ~700Myrs after the Big Bang to when the universe was ⅔ of its current age. PASSAGE uses the NIRISS instrument to spectroscopically select samples of galaxies, unbiased with respect to cosmic variance (i.e., mitigating the variations due to the large scale structure) or photometric pre-selection. PASSAGE has observed 57 independent fields at high galactic latitudes, detecting emission lines for several thousand galaxies in the wavelength range 1.0-2.2um.
