February 19th, 2024: First in-person meeting at ISSI

Between February 19th and February 23rd our ISSI Team on “Bridging the Gap: From Terrestrial to Icy Moons Cryospheres” had its first ISSI meeting in Bern (yay!). Almost everyone was able to make it in person and a few members participated online. We had a great meeting with a mix of presentations and discussions about terrestrial and planetary ices. We identified several topics that we started working on and will pursue in our upcoming online meetings. Practically we started to gather information on ice properties and regions on Earth where analog processes take place, similar to those that we expect on icy moons. Stay tuned for more exciting news from our ISSI Team!

September 19th, 2023

Our team met on September 19th and had an icebreaker event during which we talked about favorite icy moons, winter sports, and highest latitude locations we’ve been to. We also made plans for the next online meetings and for our first in-person meeting in Bern.
